Reaching out for help can be difficult and takes courage, strength and a willingness to be vulnerable. However, there are often times in our lives when we need a sounding board, someone to walk alongside us who can provide a safe, warm, nonjudgmental environment to discuss what is on our mind. As a professional counselor, my goal is to provide that environment, joining those who are seeking help, hoping to find a new direction in life.
My approach is empathetic, compassionate and filled with occasional humor. I truly enjoy getting to know individuals at a deeper level, joining them in their journey. I feel strongly that we all need someone in our lives to offer validation and a safe, non-judgmental place to discuss our struggles and be challenged at the same time. It is important to feel confident and empowered in moving forward in your life to reach your fullest potential.
I have expertise working with adolescents and adults who struggle with eating disorders, body image, self-harm, anxiety, interpersonal issues and depression. I also have experience assisting those going through life transitions such as divorce, job changes and grief.
Entering into counseling is a courageous, first step toward a life of wholeness and healing. I would consider it a privilege to walk alongside you down this challenging yet rewarding path.
