Hi, I’m Sam. I’m here to support you in navigating the emotional roller coaster of life! I love getting an understanding of your story, acknowledging your strengths and how you have overcome adversity. As a proponent for meditation and mindfulness, I’m curious about the narrative that informs your now! When you are overwhelmed it can be easy to forget how amazing you are and that life is meant to be enjoyed.
Throughout my career, a common theme has stood out: the importance and need for all of us to be heard and not judged for having a particular experience. Providing this for others is what drew me to a career in counseling.
I was born and raised in Great Britain where I completed my Bachelors in Sociology and my Masters in Social Work. I have over ten years of experience working with a range of vulnerable groups in the United Kingdom, Australia and the USA.
My work has continued to thrive alongside my love of all things music; I’ve been playing drums at a professional level for many years. Music has played an important role in my own self-care for as long as I can remember (and has been a reason I fell in love with Austin!) and serves as my own reminder to support you in finding what makes you fulfilled.
Seeking the support of a therapist can give you the chance to process life’s hardships and develop coping skills for the tricky times in life and get you one step closer to the best version of you. I look forward to meeting you where you are, and having a down to earth and kindhearted conversation. Cheers!
