what we do at Discovery Counseling is really about you.

Counseling has come a long way in the last 50 years. There are literally hundreds of approaches to counseling, including some really cool ones that combine findings from fields like neuroscience and meditation. But first, let’s talk about how we’ll work together to help you get what you want out of life. The important thing to know is that our counseling services focus on real-life solutions to help you deal with whatever’s up. Big, small and in between.

Also, you have options.

Then there’s the things we do for counselors. Like clinical supervision.

Good supervision can make a big difference in a counselor’s career. As a clinical supervisor, Discovery founder Sara Weber helps new clinicians hone their clinical skills and expand their know-how, so they can get that all-important required license to practice. Her favorite part is providing guidance on career development and helping clinicians develop their unique identity as a mental health pro. It’s a healthy combo of teaching, guidance, support and mentorship

In addition to LPC-intern supervision, Sara offers CEDS supervision for those clinicians pursuing certification as an eating disorder specialist.

supervision options

Individual supervision includes weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss client cases, as well as continuing education topics and professional identity development.

Group supervision includes bi-weekly and weekly group meetings for three or more interns to discuss continuing education topics and professional identity development.

Intern associate supervision includes weekly individual and/or group meetings and the opportunity to see clients within the practice to gain clinical experience. Guidance on operating a counseling practice is also available.
