I work great with...
Anyone with a complicated relationship with food or their body. Maybe you can't stop thinking about what you ate, what you're going to eat, or how you look, and the food rules you made to feel in control have started running the show. It's exhausting. You'll have a place to talk about all of it without judgment, and together we'll work toward more trust and a lot more peace with food and your body.
Young adults who feel anxious, low, or stuck. Maybe your mind races every night, or a heavy fog has settled in and won't lift. Sometimes a panic attack shows up out of nowhere, right in the middle of class. You don't have to keep pushing through on your own. We'll figure out what's really going on and build tools that actually help, so you can start feeling like yourself again.
People figuring out who they are (and who they're not). Scrolling through everyone else's life can make it seem like they all got a map you never received, while you're still working out what you want and where you fit. That might mean questions about sexuality or gender, what comes after graduation, or simply what you enjoy when no one's watching. We'll get curious about your values and strengths, so the choices you make start to feel like they actually belong to you.
People caught between family pressure and their own needs. Maybe you feel like you'll never quite measure up to who your family wants you to be, or you're the one keeping everyone calm while your own feelings get pushed to the back. A friendship or relationship might have you second-guessing yourself, too. Together we'll look at the whole picture and make real room for what you need, so you can choose relationships where you get to show up as yourself.
Perfectionists who are running on empty. Nothing ever feels good enough, and the voice in your head says things you'd never say to a friend. You're not alone in that. We'll work on turning down the volume on that inner critic, and you might be surprised how much lighter "good enough" can feel.
Students juggling ADHD, deadlines, and a lot of pressure. You know exactly what needs to get done and still can't make yourself start, and that shiny new planner hasn't been opened since the second week of the semester. We'll build practical strategies for focus, time management, and school stress (minus the shame), so you can work with your brain instead of fighting it.
Style & Approach
You don't have to have it all together to start therapy. Showing up as you are is plenty. This is a place where you get to try things, mess up, celebrate small wins, and grow more confident in who you already are. Sessions are warm, a little lighthearted, and shaped around what you need most that week, whether we meet in person in Austin or online.
Together we'll get curious about what's really happening underneath, whether that's old patterns from your family, the way your nervous system reacts to stress, or the feelings that keep you stuck. The work draws from DBT, ACT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), along with mindfulness and gentle work with the body. Everything is trauma-informed, and we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Nobody knows your life better than you do. A lot of the work is turning down the background noise (the shoulds, the comparisons, everyone else's opinions) until your own voice comes through clearly again, with a calm and genuinely curious guide beside you while you learn to trust what you hear.
Some of the approaches I Use...
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
