I work great with...

  • Individuals navigating life transitions and identity exploration: This could include starting or ending relationships, changing careers, becoming new parents, or simply reevaluating their values and goals in life.
  • Clients who are feeling stuck in depression, anxiety, stress, or overwhelm and want to learn better ways to cope and get unstuck.
  • Folks who are curious, questioning, or who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community seeking support with identity exploration, coming out, or relationship challenges.
  • Young adults exploring who they are and who they are becoming.
  • People looking to break free from the cycle of needing to be perfect, being overly critical of themselves, and putting others’ needs first (people pleasing).
  • People who want to understand and heal their relational history, shift their narrative, get unstuck, and build healthy connections.

Style & Approach

I believe that the stories that we tell ourselves — and the stories that the people and culture around us tell us about ourselves — inform how we see ourselves and solve problems, whether those stories are true or not. Together we can identify the stories that may be holding you back from having the life you want, and part of our work together might be finding out exactly what life you do want. I also find that life becomes less of an uphill battle when therapy touches the emotional core of where those stories stemmed from in the first place. Reaching the emotional core of our struggles requires more than just talking about our feelings; I firmly believe that we have to truly feel our feelings if we want to heal.

I aim to be nonjudgmental and empathetic, and provide a safe space for my clients to share anything with me. I believe in collaborative and client-centered therapy where we work together to explore your thoughts, experiences, emotions, values, goals, biases, blind spots, and more. I want my clients to bring their full selves to counseling, and I meet them where they are.

I am a white, fat positive, queer, neurodivergent person, and those identities may inform my approach to counseling. I’m also fiercely inclusive of all bodies, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+.

Some of the approaches I Use...

  • Narrative Therapy Techniques

  • Self-compassion
  • Collaborative
  • Person-centered
  • Goal-setting

Fun Facts

Relaxing for me is all about getting my brain out of planning and analysis mode and doing something that I love like reading, playing puzzle games, or spending time with friends!

I get way too excited about musical theater and musicals in general!

I love musical theater because I love being immersed in a story that requires a level of suspended disbelief.

Self-care for me is reading fiction books, exercising, going to therapy, spending time with friends, and giving myself grace and space to exist imperfectly.

I love learning about queer history and queer culture, psychology, and humans in general.

The best Saturday afternoon includes a healthy dose of sunshine and a good book or spending quality time with loved ones. Bonus points if there is a dog I can cuddle!
