I work great with...
High performers running on fumes. When you're wired to do your best at everything, the pressure doesn't clock out, and the wins tend to feel smaller than the misses. Rest starts to feel like something you have to earn. Three Olympic teams taught me exactly what that costs and how hard it is to explain to anyone who hasn't lived inside it, so you won't have to. Together we'll work on quieting that inner critic and building a relationship with success and failure that can carry you for decades instead of just this season.
Athletes whose sport has become their whole identity. Maybe your body isn't cooperating anymore, or the thing that used to feel like freedom now feels like an obligation, or you're staring down the end of a career and don't know who you are without it. These are lonely questions in a world that only asks about your results. We'll make room for the person underneath the performance, because there's considerably more of you than the part that competes.
Parents in over their heads. Parenting is the hardest job there is, and the version you pictured is rarely the version you got. Whatever your kid is handing you right now, whether that's behavior, neurodivergence, mental health, identity, or a sport that has quietly taken over your family calendar, you'll get someone who listens without judgment and works alongside you to find the next right move.
Families and couples stuck in the same loop. Our closest relationships hold up the rest of our lives, so when they're strained, everything else gets heavier. We'll find the pattern that keeps pulling you back into the same painful place and work on new ways of talking and connecting, either toward each other or toward real clarity about what comes next.
Anyone going through a big life change. A divorce, a move, a career that ended, or a family that reshaped itself can scramble your sense of who you are, even when the change was the right call. You'll have steady company while you sort out what you're taking with you and what you're leaving behind.
Anyone who just needs somewhere to put it down. You don't need a diagnosis or a major trauma to deserve an hour that's entirely yours. Honestly, everyone could use good therapy. This is one place where you don't have to listen to anybody else's problems or manage anybody else's feelings, so come in, say what's on your mind, and we'll figure out together what you need most from the time.
Style & Approach
You get to be a whole person in this room, including the parts that laugh at the wrong moment. Nothing moves faster than you want it to, because feeling safe comes before saying the things that matter. Every now and then you might get a gentle nudge forward, always with your interests at the center and never before you're ready.
Together we'll look at your relationships and the systems you live inside, because none of us struggle in a vacuum. The work draws from relational cultural therapy, self-compassion practices, mindfulness, and a person-centered foundation, aimed at helping you notice strengths you may have stopped seeing and heal the parts that are still sore. That kind of growth tends to widen everything, including how you understand yourself and the people who matter most to you.
Two things shape how this feels in practice. Years in elite sport mean high standards and hard weeks are familiar territory here, not something you'll have to translate. And a coaching background occasionally shows up, so you might get a suggestion you're completely free to take or leave, plus a genuine cheerleader on the days you're proud of yourself. The hope is that there are a lot more of those.
Some of the approaches I Use...
Relational Cultural Therapy
Self-Compassion Focused Work
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Person-Centered Therapy
Fun Facts
I swam competitively for years and made three Olympic teams, which taught me more about pressure, failure, and getting back up the next morning than any classroom ever did.
My favorite outdoor activity is riding around Austin and the Hill Country on my road bike with my boyfriend, ideally with the wind at my back.
I get way too excited about wildflowers. Highway median, back road, my own neighborhood, it doesn't matter, they make me smile at how much beauty is just sitting there.
My favorite Austin activity is hunting for the best sunrise and sunset photo spots. Current favorites are the top of Mount Bonnell, the cliffs above the 360 Bridge, paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, the Wishbone Bridge, and the Boardwalk on the Ann and Roy Butler Trail.
The best Saturday afternoon includes a coffee, a happy hour, or a meal with some of my favorite people, and a conversation we lose track of time inside.
